Chaired by Senator Don Gaetz, the session focused on the R.O.I. from Industry Certifications earned by our public school students.

The session was filled with passionate community members delivering detailed information about local education projects and initiatives. At the core was  the Florida Career and Professional Education Act (CAPE) ROI discussion.

Save the Date – 3rd Annual Tech Night at the Ballpark – Aug 4, 2015

Save the Date – 3rd Annual Tech Night at the Ballpark – Aug 4, 2015

Please save the date for Tuesday, August 4th, 2015 for our 3rd Annual Tech Night at the Ballpark — I know it is a littler earlier in the month than normal, however, I am now doing this in coordination with Marlins Social Media night, so it should be a really, really fun event.  Plus we get to watch the Marlins beat up on the dirty Yankees, so everyone is happy!

Obviously, closer to the event, we’ll start sending out more details, etc but we wanted to give everyone the date in advance so you can update your communications accordingly.

Thank you, as always for your continued support!

Would you take a pay cut to work from home?

Would you take a pay cut to work from home?

While many companies are setting policies on flexible work arrangements, their workers are quietly working from outside the office whenever possible. Working where you want or when you want is a perk employees will put a premium on in 2015.

Those workers who can work from home on occasion tell me they plan to stay in their jobs as long as possible, because not having that flexibility would cost them in commute time, babysitter fees or missed parenting opportunities. Most workers say they are more productive on the days they work from home.
